Cllr John Trevena stands down from the council

CLLR John Trevena has stood down from Lyme Regis Town Council.

Cllr Trevena, who was elected to the council in May 2024, said he was resigning for 'personal reasons'.

Dorset Council has today (Monday 9 December) given notice of a councillor vacancy.

If 10 Lyme Regis electors make a request by 2 January 2025, an election will be held to fill the vacancy, otherwise it will be filled by co-option.

If an election is held, it will take place no later than 6 March 2025.

Requests for an election must be made in writing to the Returning Officer, Electoral Services, Dorset Council, County Hall, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 1XJ or by email to elections@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk
