TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF COBB ROAD, LYME REGIS
DORSET COUNCIL has issued a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along COBB ROAD, LYME REGIS between its junction with A3052 and the entrance to Shire End Lane, a distance of approximately 130 metres. The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise likelihood of danger to highway users.
It will come into operation between 2100 and 0700 on 12 November 2024 and remain in force for five days, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 14 November 2024.
This Notice will enable National Grid safe access to excavate and install cables for supply security and capacity improvements.
On this occasion there will be no specified alternative route for diverted traffic.
