Biography
I was born in Lyme Regis, I went to the local schools. I left school and joined a firm called Wallis & Thomlins as an electronics engineer. After seven years, I left Wallis & Thomlins with another engineer (Chris Mear) and we purchased a firm called Thomas & Son and ran that together for 32 years.
I joined the Lifeboat service in Lyme Regis and stayed there for 31 years, 11 years as senior helmsman. I then joined the Coastguard service and I stayed there for 20 years (19 years as station officer).
I joined the council and have been here for eight years. I am the chairman of the Planning Committee. I love Lyme Regis and will never leave it.
