Dorset Council has issued an update on the closure of Cobb Road following a landslip:
"The landowner has been working hard on their repairs at the site, and we remain satisfied they are making excellent progress.
"Their contractors have removed hundreds of tonnes of material, and sheet piling and deep drainage works to are set to commence imminently.
"Our officers have been monitoring throughout, and we will review the situation at the end of next week.
"Until then, Cobb Road needs to remain closed to ensure the landowner’s contractors can work quickly and safely. Alternative access for local residents and business owners is working well, and we thank everyone for their patience and understanding.
"Rest assured, we will reopen the highway as soon as we can."
