NOTICE has been given of a town councillor vacancy following the resignation of the mayor, Cllr David Ruffle.
Dorset Council issued the notice on 15 August 2024 and electors may now request an election to fill the vacancy.
If 10 or more Lyme Regis electors request an election by 5 September 2024, a poll will be held no later than 7 November 2024.
Otherwise, the vacancy will be filled by co-option.
Requests for an election must be made to the Returning Officer, Electoral Services, Dorset Council, County Hall, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 1XJ.
